Store Policies Your Statutory rights are not affected by any of the following store policies. Ordering OnlineOrdering Online with us is safe and secure! We employ a method of interaction with our visitors that does not compromise credit card information. This online system is 100% secure. We encourage you to feel comfortable using your credit card to conduct commerce on our site. If you wish, you may also send us a Postal Order (only) or a personal cheque. Personal cheques will delay your order as we must wait for your funds to clear before we ship any merchandise. Please allow an additional 7-10 business days for shipping of your merchandise if paid by personal cheque. To order by cheque, just print the order form with your shopping cart contents from the order confirmation page and complete the necessary fields, then mail the form to the address above. Return / Refund PolicyEvery item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped. If you are not satisfied with the goods and inform us within seven days of your receipt of the goods then they can be returned via Royal Mail or your countries equivalent postal service. You must pay for return postage. We will arrange to collect them (the whole order) and give a full refund. Or we will exchange items if they are faulty on delivery to you and we are notified within 10 days of the customers receipt of the product. All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing. Delivery InformationDelivery charges are via Royal Mail. PricesGoods are charged at price shown on the product pages on the date the customer places the order and are inclusive of VAT. Prices are correct at time of publication. Errors and omissions are excepted. Orders will be processed at our published prices, otherwise, in the case of any unexpected change in price, you will be informed and asked if you wish to reconsider your order before proceeding. ComplaintsIf we should receive a complaint about any part of our service, by phone,fax,e-mail or letter,then it will be dealt with promptly (we will reply within 5 working days).It will then be dealt with confidentially,and effectively.
Delivery/Shipping And HandlingOrders are securely packaged and posted via Royal Mail. Postage and packing is £3 Royal Mail 'Signed For' to all UK destinations.
Should you wish faster UK delivery then for a cost of £5 we can offer Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Business Day (Saturday Special Delivery £7).
International orders shipping and handling will be charged at £5.50 per order for orders under £50. Orders over £50 charged at £7. Orders will be made using Royal Mail International Signed for service.
The Scots Kist reserve the right to refuse to supply goods to certain countries. Please Note All items returned to us for a refund or exchange must be at your own cost. Please read our returns information on postage costs and deductions.
Delivery ScheduleWe aim to dispatch your order within 5 working days if the item is in stock. Most items are dispatched in 1 - 3 days. Please allow extra time in the lead up to Christmas. Last posting dates will be listed on the site from October of each year. International orders are generally received in less than 10 working days. Although some remote inland addresses in Canada can take a little longer.
Back OrdersIf your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Credit Card SecurityAll Credit and Debit cards are processed on secure servers by Protx or Paypal.co.uk if you have requested a PayPal invoice. At no time do we come into contact with, or store your credit card information.
GuaranteeEvery single item ordered is checked to ensure it is of the highest quality. All products are brand new (unless stated otherwise) and are covered by a full 12 month guarantee against manufacturing faults. Our guarantee does not cover misuse or accidental damage. Any item that is received damaged or incorrectly supplied will be exchanged free of charge within 7 days of receipt by us. Some of our jewellery is designed as a fashion accessory only and not recommended for everyday wear.
None of the above affects your statutory rights.

Returns PolicyAny item may be returned within 30 days of purchase as long as the item is in a saleable condition with all the original packaging enclosed. Any item that has been scratched or marked will not be accepted as a ‘return’ and will be returned to you. Every item sent out by us is checked for quality and finish before despatch. REFUNDS: We will refund the full purchase price of your order excluding postage, equivalent to £3 for Royal Mail, £5-00 for Special Delivery (£7 for Saturday Special Delivery) and £5 for international orders. CANCELLATION : You may cancel your order within 7 days (cooling off period) without reason if your order has not already been dispatched by sending an e-mail to sales@thescotskist.co.uk . If your order has been dispatched then you may still return the items for a refund, please see above. Postage costs will not be refunded unless there is a genuine manufacturing fault with the article. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery. All returned articles are returned entirely at your own risk, and cost. Please ensure that they are fully insured for loss or damage, we recommend that you return goods valuedc up to £34 by Recorded Delivery. Items valued over £34 by Special Delivery and obtain the correct value for the item. Up to £500 insurance is included with normal Special Delivery. Refunds will be made via Paypal or through Protx. Returned items are not resold on the website; all returned items are sold on Ebay.co.uk as returned items or returned to the manufacturer. Due to hygene reasons we are unable to accept returned earrings. Should you wish to cancel an order or return goods to us then please e-mail us at sales@thescotskist.co.uk and return the items to The Scots Kist Please do not mark your parcel silver, jewellery or any other luxury name as this increases the chance of the parcel going missing.
